Here are some instructions on how to find Bayview House coming from Melbourne. We hope they make sense when you are coming from other directions! Please feel free to ring if you have any problems. (NB: If you are heading South along the coast from Sydney, drive along the Princes Highway (A1) to Sale then turn into the South Gippsland Highway (A440) and head to Foster. The distance from Sale to Foster is approximately 125km. Once you reach Foster follow the directions below.) From Melbourne, drive down the Monash Freeway (M1) and take the M420 turn off to Cranbourne. You will then be travelling on the South Gippsland Highway (M420). Drive about 36 km down the South Gippsland Highway then take the turn off (A440) to Korumburra and Leongatha. It’s about 35km to Korumburra then another 15km to Leongatha. About 16km after Leongatha you will pass through Meeniyan (Don’t turn off to Fish Creek), keep going down the South Gippsland Highway for another 22km and you will see the turn off to Foster on the right hand side. The Foster turn off is a bit easy to miss, so be careful! There is a motel on the right just before the turn off. Take the turn off to Foster and drive into the town centre. You will end up at a “T” intersection. Turn right and drive through the town. You will come to a round-about and here you need to take an odometer reading, turn left and head towards Wilson’s Promontory. Travel along the road to Wilsons Promontory until you have travelled 13.5km from the roundabout. You will see one sign that points to a Fish Creek and Waratah Bay turn off. (Actually, there are two turn offs very close together). DO NOT take the first turn, because this goes to Fish Creek. About 100 metres further on you will see a sign on the right hand side that says Waratah Bay and Sandy Point with a blue and white sign indicating Bayview House. Turn right here. (The road is called Soldiers Road). Travel exactly 2 kilometres down this road. You will see a white letter box on the right hand side with“202” written on it and another sign saying “BayviewHouse”. You have arrived! |
